At Molanda Playgrounds Company, we believe play is more than just fun. It’s about building friendships, encouraging growth, and creating safe spaces where families and communities come together.
Our story began in 2009 when Dale Schaffenacker founded Molanda Playgrounds with a heartfelt mission: to design spaces where children can learn, grow, and thrive. What started as a dream has become a family-run business serving Central and Southern Illinois, creating safe and inviting environments for parks, schools, churches, daycares, and municipalities.
Today, Dale proudly passes the torch to his son, Andrew Schaffenacker, who now leads the company into its next chapter alongside his wife, Nina Schaffenacker, who serves as Molanda’s Marketing Manager. With Andrew’s leadership, Nina’s dedication, and the same family values at our core, Molanda continues to focus on what matters most: building community through play.
As a family-owned business, we understand the importance of trust. That’s why we walk with our clients every step of the way — designing, selling, and installing playgrounds that bring their vision to life. From classic swings and slides to fully custom pieces, we create spaces that reflect the heart of each community.
